Default Lfs blues, need a decent shop in NJ

I am looking for a decent Lfs in central/northern Nj. I only know of 2, one being a hole in the wall which has extremely limited stock. The guy who runs it is really good but he is way overpriced and has to order everything. Which is pointless since I could do the same thing.

The other store is the reason I am asking for some help. I went in with the intention of buying some LR to seed my tank but the owner wouldn't sell it. I made the mistake of telling him my intentions, and the fact I had made a bunch of Garf style aragarock which raised his eyebrow to say the least. He scoffed/dismissed the idea of seeding a tank, and instead tried to push 9$ a lb base rock on me with 0 coraline.

To quote "it would take forever to do it that way". I really have no intention of bringing him any business especially when he is trying his hardest to pawn off baserock at show rock price. Boy that really burned me up . So I went home and orderd 25lbs of fiji, 5lbs of kaelini and some rubble that is in transit from premium aquatics. I don't really want to rely on buying everything offline sight unseen though.

So nj reefers what shops do you go to? Driving distance really isn't an issue.

Underwater World in Roselle Park is really good too.
Absolutely Fish in Clifton is supposed to be good too, but I have not been to that one.

there are only 2 places i know of. both are a bit overpriced. precious pets is only good for foods and mybe the smaller fish here and there, thye offer no guarentee. trhey know nothing about saltwater fish.

oceanarium, is a VERY nice store, laarge selection of fish, and even biggere selection of coral. they know what they are talking about, but are way too expensive. 60$ for a small bit of yellow polyp?.....i think not.

im in central jersey, and find it is best to do al the shopping on line.

Thanks for the feedback, I didn't want to come off as whining about typical lfs antics but i had to vent a bit.

Cern,
Just over the NJ border into Pa is a great store opened on weekends. 9 to 5pm Sat. and Sun. called Something Fishy, in Northampton (north of Allentown) Off route 78 coming in from Phillipsburg, NJ. It might take an you hour to get there. Home site for more info:
Reef Aquarium Supplies - Reef Aquarium Livestock Something Fishy

If you are in the area, it may be well worth your time.
