Its still not done obviously still needs about 80 pounds of live rock and then corals just got an aqua deal lighting system on it today i bought off ebay 4 power compacts 65 watts each, 2 metal halides and 6 moon lights across the bottom of the lighting hood the corals and anenomes that were attached to the live rock picked up quite quickly tell me what you think...also is that brown alge looking crap on the bottom in the front natural???

I could be wrong on this but I believe that that "brown algae" is just diatoms. Shouldn't be a problem if your tank has cycled. But it might mean another spike so keep an eye on your readings.

Looking good.

That tank looks like a deep one. 30"?

I wouldnt say the brown on the sand looks natural but it is normal at the end of your cycle.

3-4 fish already? More LR coming? Watch out for those mini cycles! Big tank, lot of water volume, anything happens should happen slowly. Just keep an eye on it. Looks great!!!

Do you have an anemone in there or is it aptasia??? If it is, I might consider starting to kill all them before your get coral...If it is aptasia what I do is just make a paste out of water and kalk and just put a little paste in a syringe and feed it to them, they dissolve in no time and then I have a few peppermint shrimp that keep the small ones eaten and all populations are in check now!
