Default Green Newbie

I have a small question. I set up a 34g Red Sea Tank. I have added 40 pounds of live sand and 40 pounds of live rock. After my water was fine I added the sand and then the rock. I should have allowed the sand to calm down before adding the rock but I messed up now.

Now, my all is still after 24 hours but the rock is covered in sand. Is okay? Or should I take the rock out and rinse.

Please help and dumb newbie. Thanks in advance

Yolanda

You can take a Turkey baster and blow it off. Or if you have submersible pump with a hose you could blow it off with it. I have a small one I use to fill my tank when doing water changes. It is real handy to pump it in rather the poring from a 5 gal bucket.

You should really have put the rock in before you put the sand in. If you get yourself any burrowing fish you may find that your aquascape comes tumbling down.
