Default do it yourself sump

we are do it urself types and we were looking at a do it yourselfer sump

we have a 30 gallon tank and a wood cabinet beneath, anyone have any tips?
especially on how to ge tthe water pumped back up so you dont have a flood in the house for the dog to lick up.

If you are wanting to build your own sump, the easiest substrate is acrylic. You pump the water back into your tank using overflows if you drill your tank (which is actually easy) or you can buy plastic U tube's with a nozzle at the end and connect your hose to it directly.
