protein skimmer

My protein skimmer doesn't collect anything. I have red sea Berlin 125. I run with a mag 7 which is what's recommended. I never have to empty it. what's wrong with it, I here people talking about their skimmers and they say they have to empty it every other day.

Red sea Berlin's are known not to collect much skimate, but the fact that yours isn't collecting anything worries me.

However you have a low to medium load on your tank.

Are they microbubbles in the reaction chamber? If so are they small, medium sized, or large?

here is better pic of my skimmer. I think the micro bubbles are small.

the air valve is open all the way and there are no other adjustments on this skimmer
