Default Xenia emergency

I purchased a Xenia colony for LFS yesterday, it looked great, my tank has been up and running for 4 months. My water quality is great Nitrate 5.0 ppm, Nitrite .05 ppm, Amonia 0 ppm, Alkalinity 2.0, Calcium is 450 ppm, Ph is 8.1, and S.G. 1.021 anyway I brought this Xenia home and used the same drip method I have always used to introduce it. I placed in a low current area towards the bottom waiting for it to open up before placing it in a better current. it has been 24 hours and it hasn't opened up at all in fact it is loosing several of its flowers they just seem to fall off. I have a flowerpot coral, a ricordia, clownfish, and manderin goby which all do fine. Is there anyway I can save this Xenia and what caused this to die??

ALK is Low! PH needs to come up as well, But the main thing wrong is there is Nitite in the tank very bad. Also raise SG to 1.023 or 1.025! This tends to be the sweet spot for corals! What is your lighting on the tank?

Xenia are very sensitive to ph change. I would try to find what the LFS where you got it keeps his ph. As far as nitrates go I have had 20 with no problem with my Xenia. I would try stronger flow. Maybe even take them back to the LFS till they recover.
