Default salt water in tank

hi every1 can u help? is it ok to mix the salt water in my tank for the first initial fill up there is nothing in the tank yet so will this be ok and should i run the external filter and skimmer + powerhead to circulate?or should i mix in seperate containers if so which containers are best???:eek:

I mixed mine in the tank and let the power heads mix it, and the heater was also on to warm up the water before my live rock came. It is OK as long as no live fish are in the tank.

For the first time you can mix in your tank. Run your powerheads only for the first day to circulate it, then start up your filter and skimmer.

thanks volitan youve been a great help and could i ask you would you recoment using base rock and live rock or just live rock and where can i buy base rock online???
