I personally have never used it but I see on some other sites people are using it and saying good stuff about it.

In kalkwasser, the makeup water has to be dispensed by drip into the sump. The problem with that is I dont have one, your going to laugh at me but Im using a Fluval fx5 canister filter took out all the biomax and stuffed all the media chambers up with live rock and just use the mechanical filtration along with it.
