| I dont think your bio load is all that bad,but that yellow tang is in a tank 1/2 the recomended size.Here Is soomething to read concerning the anemone. Be A Host To Your Anemone - Reef Hobbyist Online Magazine |

| Hi thanks for the response the FS told me that I would be okay with the tang for a few months until i get my larger tank.... I have a red sea 34 tank... that includes filer system.... I also have a urchin... |
| ||||
| My tank has been running for 45 days....Should I try another anemone |
| ||||
| Did you let your LR and Nitrates and Nitrates Spike. If you put everything in within a few days then your tank hasn't had time to cycle. That's more than likely what killed your anemone. Also Anemones are really sensative to even the slightest water change so anything from not cleaning it to it having poor water quality could have killed it. What types of filters are you using. Bio Balls, LR Rubble, DSB, all this matters since your tank is so young. Also what are your lights...anemones need a pretty decent amount of light...about 5-6 per gallon. |
| ||||
| Also did you let the anemone find it's own home or did you "put" is somewhere...usually anemones are pretty smart as far as knowing where the best flow in the tank is and where the best light is. If you just got an anemone b/c you have a clown please reconsider. Anemones need allot of attention to detail. That's why there're rated as moderate level. I believe Ricordia mushrooms can play host to clowns but one of the more expereinced people or possibly one of the mods will tell you for certain. |

| Your tank is too young and should not have that bioload this early on. In my opinion, you are about 2 fish over the limit for a 35, and that tang is one of the 2. If you added most of this at one time, you probably had a spike. Even with a good skimmer, which I do not know if you have, you have way too much for that tank. Please take time to research everything carefully before adding it to your tank from now on. |

| I would wait a year before I would do a anemone. |
