ive had my tank for about 4months now, 55 gallon i have a fluval 305 filter, a H.O.T Coralife 3300 protein skimmer (i know i should have a sump but i cant afford it rite now, maybe later), a coralife deluxxe lunar series light, with 2 10000K white light, 2 blue lights and lunar lights(im gonna be keepin softies), a heater, and two maxi jet powerheads. ihave 45 lbs of cured live rock thathad been in the guys own tank for about a year, i have a clownfish, and a another fish i forgot what its called, but its blue with a white-yellowish tail(anyone know?), tank cycled already, tank parameters are as follows, Salinity- 1.024 (got to add some fresh water), pH-8.3, chlorine- Total=0, free= .5, ammonia - 0, nitrite - 0(should i measure nitrate?),i have a couple leathers that happened to be on the rock by accident. i have some of this gray gunky stuff on the rock, the guy said it should be natural but idk. here are some pictures what do you guys think?

Looks good, just be careful about the canister filter with nitrates plying up. And yes test for nitrates.

I love the blue background too!

Toaha : You have it going on I like it. You have came a long way. Yes you should keep track of you nitrates You don't want to let them get over 40 but under 20 is much better. They will stress out your fish. And It will take a lot of water changes to get them back down if you let them get out of hand. I seen the blue fish but not clear enough to say what it is maybe you could get a better pic of it. I guess you will be shoveling snow for money before long. The lawn mowing is over up in the cold north country. I'm really impressed with your tank you have really hung in there most people your age don't have what it takes to stick with something. It also looks like you have a mushroom I could not make out any thing other then that.
