Default since putting my live sand in...

I have had alot of little white specs floating in the water (i also have lots of pods on the glass!). I was wondering if the specs in the water were sand because of the water flow or if they could be pods to. It seems like a real lot so im guessing its the sand, if it is, will it ever settle? Its been in for a week. Ive already adjusted the flow once because it was going down the front of the tank and moving all of the sand out of that spot.

Sugar fine sand is easily blown about by powerheads. Probably so. It would be best to mix some coarser sand with what you already have if you want a lot of flow in your tank. The coarser sand will eventually work its way to the top and not blow around as easily

Ken,I think what Jim is saying is that its more than likely not sand.Probably smaller pods.
