| New to the Hobby (Getting Started/Setting Up) Think you can upgrade to saltwater? Your probably very confused, but remember ask questions and you'll get your answers on here! |

 Clam??? Can a clam just show up in your tank and start forming? Im not really sure what this is, but it just kinda popped up out of my sand bed....  |

| Re: Clam??? Its really hard to tell what that might be from the photos. I'm willing to bet that it isnt a clam though. My guess, and this just a guess until you can get some larger shots of it is that its a sponge of some sort. |

| Re: Clam??? i know the pics are tough. when i try to zoom in really close on things in my tank tho, its really blurry. The only thing i can say is that it has the same ridges a clam shell has at the tips |

| Re: Clam??? Ok so i didnt have time to snap a picture, but the lights were off in the tank when i came home (getting rid of a diatom bloom) and there was a little white thing sticking out the top, when i turned the light on, it retracted and the shells slammed shut |
