Moving House

Hi all, am new here, so please forgive me if typing in wrong area. We've had a tank set up for the past couple of years. Now we have decided to move about an hours drive away. Does anyone know how to move our tank and set it up successfully at the other end? I'm worried because we fitted a new carpet last year and lost nearly 50% of our fish in the process. Please help if you can????

Pack your livestock in styrofoam containers. Pack your sand and rock wet in rubbermaids. This is how I moved my tank about a 10 hour drive, so I know it can work.

Keep as much of your tank water as you can, if not you'll have to recycle your tank again. Also if you're goin to keep your fish in a smaller rubermaid or whatever... You can put a skimmer and pump on it over night if needed. If not your fish will die in the stagnant water. RIP Pete and Jose.
