| Helping You, Help Yourself 99.99% of the time, librarians will use Google and/or Yahoo search engines. If you find a citation for an artcle and want to see if you can find it online, just type in the title. You may also type in the Author's name, occasionally they have a homepage with a link to their work. Also, you may try [WorldCat.org] Search for books, music, videos, articles and more in libraries near you. If you can find a book or a journal article locally, it is cheaper most times to get a library card or xerox an article here and there than to buy a publication. If you find that the only holding is at the Library of Congress, you will end up purchasing because they are way too busy to loan anything. If it is an article and the journal is held at a federal library, you can try calling that library. Depending on the temperment of the librarian, you may or may not get what you are looking for, but it is always worth the try! If you have a subscription and are willing to copy an article here and there for other members, I encourage it within reason. There is still a copyright law out there, so copying a whole book or a whole magazine is frowned upon, but sharing an article or a chapter is OK....as long as you do not distribute it to the entire site! It is always about personal use!!!!
