Icon14 To Drill Or Not To Drill ...

Ok guys ... i was gonna drill my tank for my overflows bc ive heard many bad things about the hang-ons ...
but today i noticed a big orange stricker on my tank: "TEMPERED GLASS ... DO NOT DRILL" ...
Does this mean that I cannot drill my tank for an overflow now?

(BTW ... this sticker was on the bottom of my tank if that matters at all)

It depends on who made the tank.Almost all tank bottoms are tempered and should not be drilled. One way to tell but I wont gaurentee it is temperd glass is much thinner than regular glass. If the bottom is tempered and the sides are not you can drill the sides. If its a new tank or one you are sure of the age, call the manufacturer they will be happy to tell you.
