Default sand made water cloudy and foamy?

Ok, I'm sure I read that this is normal but I'm too lazy to find the thread. I just put my live rock in and it looks awesome. I scooped sand in the tank and it immediately went cloudy and then foam covered the top of the water. I turned the filtration back on and its like a dense fog in there. I'm sure if I was patient it would clear up but just wanted to type because I'm bored so is this normal? I'm sure it is, but I'm wasting time right now. I can't wait to take pictures of my next stage in this hobby.

This might be the thread you were looking for. I was in the same boat about a week or so ago and found the answers I got in this thread extremely helpful. It does go away, tank is looking super clear now.

Good Luck!
