Default help selecting new equipment

Hi, I have a 40gallon truvu tank, I was thinking about getting a 10g or 20g tank to make a sump. I have been talking with e_baer and someone else from here, they helped me pick out the following:

*Odyssea WP-1000 Water Pump - 601006
39.90 return water from sump to display

*Hang-on Continuous Siphon Overflow 600 gph w/ Bulkhead - 704007
overflow box 29.90

Double Slip Bulkhead Fitting - 1 inch (Saltwater Aquarium Supplies > Plumbing Parts > Bulkheads > Double Slip )
5.99 bulkhead fitting 1"

CPR Continuous Siphon Overflow Boxes from Salty Critter - Your Saltwater Specialists
aqualifter pump 12.99

Aquarium Heaters: Hydor Theo Heater
2x 100w 18.99x2 38$

Coralife Digital Thermometer
5$ at petsmart

Berlin Turbo skimmer
found one for around 100$ used with all parts for in sump or hang on

------------------------------------------------
232$

Titanium Ground Probe (Saltwater Aquarium Supplies > Miscellaneous > GFCI Cords & Grounding Probes )
grounding probe 14.99

Kent Marine Sea Salt Mix
kent seasalt 13.99

Are all those good equipment and good prices to get them? How loud will the Berlin Turbo be while its running?

He didnt want to spend too much, so I tried to help him out the best I could.

I know some of you will complain about the aquatraders stuff, BUT I was not able to find any pumps that were not too expensive. I figured he would have about 5 ft head loss.

AND the reason for a different bulkhead is because he wants to use some flexible tubing.

And about the overflow box, he wants something that is not perminent.

I would stay away from the aquatrader stuff (take it from experience). How about a used mag pump for the return ?

I bought a used mag 9.5 for 60 bucks, which is 20 bucks more than the odeyssea. Checkout craigslist, ebay, for sale forums, and folks who are getting out of the hobby. Trust me you'll end up spending a lot more by going with the cheap stuff now.
