| What size tank, how much live rock, was rock cured or uncured, etc. Welcome to the wonderful world of salt water, Just sit back and wait, and wait, and wait some more. Your amonia and nitrites will come down to zero as the tank cycles. You should also shoot for zero nitrates as well.

| Your tank won't cycle without life rock, the purpose of live rock is to help cycle LOL...then carry the bioload.

| The tank WILL cycle without live rock, but it may take longer and have another cycle when the LR gets added. All you need to cycle a tank is water and a source for ammonia - fish food, LR, etc... The cycle process will last anywhere from a couple weeks to 6+ weeks. To read about the cycling process, go to http://www.reefbuilders.com/forums/g...lders-faq.html. During the cycling process, you don't want to add and fish or corals so for the next month, the best thing you could do is sit back and read everything that you can.
