| Magnet Float algae scraper and on the real tough stuff a razor blade. The Magnet should work well if you do it often enough. |
| ||||
| I also have the Magnet floater. One on my 90g acyrlic, a small one on my 20g and a VERY powerful/large one for my 220. Also--- If you have acyrlic, make sure you get one for acyrlic, the glass one can possibly scratch your acyrlic. Not possibly! It will hah. ![]()

| Oh and if you do have acrylic don't try the razor blade, it will scratch it as well.... |

| and be careful with the magnafloats, they can get sand embedded into them and scratch your tank.

| You do have a good point, but what I do to just be cautious, I pull the outside magnet away, letting the other float before I use it so if there is sand in there...it gets out. Also--if you get down near the sand and think you got it in there (you can tell from the sound) then just do the same as above.

| IMHO, the magnet float is a great tool for cleaning the glass. If you don't want to buy one of those u can always use a razor blade - just be careful not to cut the calking in the corners. LFS also sell a tool that is long and has a plastic blade at the bottom to scrape the inside glass, but again like all the others have said the magnet float is the best way to clean the glass. |

Wife is not too thrilled.Thanks for all the tips everyone. Will go with a mag float and probably a plastic blade setup as well so I can get the best of both worlds ![]() |
