Default Fed Up!!:@:

@I have tried 2 different corals (Xenia and cabbage) and within a week of putting it (at different weeks) they die within 5 days. Water chem is fine, had it further tested by my trusted LFS and is pronounced fine. I've been working w/ this store owner for a couple of years now so I trust his guidance. Just did a water change after taking the rank cabbage coral out. Any ideas? I tried moving them to better light locations, better water movement locations..........sigh.

Your tank has been up one month?
I hear ya, but you really need your own test equipment, because my guess is either with water parameters or acclimation.

Don't trust that Xenia will last in any tank, I have tried and tried in mine and my tank is almost 3 years old, I finally got some Pom Pom Xenia to last over 1 1/2 months.

Oh, I should add to my profile that I've been doing freshwater for a couple of years now....interesting jump to the "dark" side. Everyone said "SALT??!!! it's sooooooo hard!" blah blah blah....maybe frustrating at times but worth it!!

One of the easist so far that I have found but can become a nusiance it Green Star Polyps, its a great starter coral but it can spread quickly, I have 3 different green varieties and 1 Pink Star Polyp, but at some point you will probably want to get rid of them.... just a fair warning...as far as other coral maybe a Colt coral, but I would have also said your Cabbage. Mushrooms, I have had better luck with the frilly mushrooms, at first the regular ones did fine in my tank but after awhile they all just disappeared... now I think I only have 1 left.
