Default electrical requirements

while planning for the equipment that i will need for my tank i am wondering if the standard outlets in the room will be overloaded. the outlets are on a 15 amp circuit breaker at the breaker box.my fresh water tank is fine in the room and will be removed once i get started with the new tank.i do use a day/night power strip with a timer for my moon lights that is equipped with a resettable circuit breaker.has anyone encountered any problems with running standard reef equipment?

All depends on how much equipment you have & what the total draw is. You're probably better off going to a 20 amp circuit.

Or multiple circuits if you have that option.

Many times, a reef tank doesn't have any problems with tripping a circuit, but if it did sometime when you're not around, it could cause you to loose all of your livestock. If you can't upgrade the wiring and breaker to 20 amp or add an additional circuit, try to minimize how many other electrical devices are plug into that circuit.
