Default expanding sump and fuge question

IM getting another 55 gallon tank which will make 2 . One i am allready running as my fuge and sump so the idea is to make one 55 a fuge which will run into the other where i will house my skimmer and heaters and return pumps . question is since i am making the entire 55 a fuge i am going to be adding about a 5 inch dsb is there any special way to add the sand or do i just put it in all at once? I will be buying it from the lfs i believe is carib sea ls.

I just built a fug, be sure to rinse repeatedly, if this is not live sand, I even rinsed mine over and over, it stil made my tank cloudy for 2-3 days. some cloudy water is going to happen, unless you are building yours diffarent from mine, either way good luck with it, and if you got any questions, feel free to ask, by the way I used argonite sand.
