Default another newbie question ;)

ok sump and everything is hooked up.. my question is about water changes.. when i had my canister filter all i did was turn off the canister and hob skimmer, and take 5 gallons out then put 5 gallons back. now with the sump is it the same way? just turn off the return pump, take out 5 gallons from the dt, then put back 5 gallons to the dt or sump??

Thanks.

Hi mike, I would get a 5 gallon bucket, and drain the 5 gallons, either from the sump or the DT. Then make sure you have 5 gallons of saltwater ready and replace. It's a pretty easy process
