Default Is the Carib Sea 'live sand' worth buying?

I cant believe that prepackaged 'live sand' would be anything but a fraud. Am I right or wrong?

its not a fraud but i dont think its nesessary

i added 2 bags of live sand to my other 4 when setting up my 210
it just helps add more nitrifing bacteria, and possibly some bods/worms/ect to your sand

live sand (commercially bagged) sure doesn't hurt. It's true that not all of their claims are accurate though.

i've got a weird one for ya... i bought 2 20 lb bags for my 55 when i first set it up.. but on both bags, and all the other bags at the LFS, there's a word marked out with a permanent marker... i don't have the bags anymore, but i think whenever it says "safe and (blackedout) selected".. its like that on the front, in big print, and 2 or 3 times on the back... has anyone else noticed this, or is it something that the LFS is trying to hide? but wait, its not the LFS, because when i had bought it, they had just gotten in their shipment that day, and my bags came straight from a package box.... so i don't know.......

The words are "natural and" I just bought a bag today and was wondering what they blacked out. Held the empty bag up to a light and that's what I saw. So I guess that means that the bacteria isn't natural and someone found out.
