i got about 70lbs of dry rock given to me and i am just starting my first ever swt, and was wondering if it was possible to cycle with dry rock and would become live again?

short answer is yes.
i would put it in a tank with live sand. this will let the "good stuff" bring the rock back to life.

yeah you definitely can maybe just throw one or two pieces of live rock in also to help it along

I am not all that sure it will ever be full fledged live rock again.If it ever does become true live rock again it could take years.Here is a little something for your reading pleasure.
