Default New to hobby

hello, i just purchased a new setup as follows:

180 gallon tank w/2 cornerflo, pine black cabinet, glass canopy, amiracle wet/dry filter 300gal, berlin super skimmer 250gal, (2) mag pumps, (2) thermo 200w heaters, 72 inch power compact hood light 4X 96 w/lunar light, 200lbs carib sea live sand

the setup cost me 2407.99 with delivery and setup...i have two questions...was this a good deal? and is the equipment good for the size tank i have..?

any info would be great on the items purchased....im new to saltwater...have had freshwater for years and outdoor ponds for years...

Your lighting is ok for fisk and liverock....But not strong enough for coral's.....Coral's need 4 to 6 watt's per gallon.........Other wise not a bad price......

Yeah you should be able to keep softer corals with that lighting no problem...especially towards the top of the tank. Harder corals will most likely give you problems.

Sounds like you have a good setup to me.....have fun with it!
