Default target feeding brains

my scolmia opens and filter feeds every night, but every time i feed my clowns he swell way up, like a dog begging, which my BCblennie and clowns bottle feed when i'm trying to target feed, so maybe he's not getting as much as he needs but EVERY DAY???

I shut down the main filter & leave powerheads on and feed the whole tank...if something needs spot fed I put it more in the flow so that it can catch food as it comes by. Since I have been feeding this way everything looks much bigger & better. (diy food also) Ive noticed zoa's & shrooms take food this way.

Do-it-Yourself Frozen Food by Steven Pro - Reefkeeping.com

Thats a pretty good one, When I made mine I didnt have much at hand, some frozen mysis shrimp, some frozen silversides, frozen krill, some sea lettuce & pellet that I had dethawled mixed and placed in bottom of plastic bowl, broke that trying to bust up food. before you freeze it spread it out over eggcrate to makenice little square chunks.

Your in luck, becase last night I was at the book store and read an article in a fish magaize that had this exact question in the Q&A part. i don't mean to insult you if you already know this.

It went something like this - given that your brain coral isn't too large, take a bottle and cut off the bottom (sand the edges) and place the bottole right side up over your brain coral. Where the cap goes on at the top of the bottle,Place the food inside. The other fish will see the food, but will not be able to get to it. allow however long it takes for the feeding tentacles of the brain coral to extend and feed. the same thing may be done with other invertebrates and filter feeders.

Thats as much as I can remember, it's not verbatim, but it's close. if you want to check out it for yourself at the bookstore. the magazine was called "The Fish Magazine" (I think) and this month's issue has some spined turtle on the front of it.
