Default Lexan

I Have access to as much lexan as i want with machine cuts and was thinking of using some as baffles or making some diy things such as a calcium reactor but I think i remember someone saying that it isnt good or it doesnt seal good or something , or maybe it turns color or something .well anyway what are your thoughts.

If you go look at my build thread in the reef building section that is what i used for my pump baffles and my overflow. It worked really nicely and if you use enough sealant sealed up very nicely. Not a single leak in the overflow. It is holding good and has not changed color yet, but it may someday, i am really not too sure about that. I dont think a color change would really matter though, i do not think it would affect the strength dramatically.

If you use the same glue as is used on acrylic and reef safe silicone it will be fine.

Yea, native is right as usual. I filled my tank up and have had all that water pressure on an empty overflow for a week and it is still holding strong. I think you will be fine. Just make sure if you make the box you make it the right size, i made mine to small and the durso is a really tight fit
