iceman,i take that back,in the far left that is lace rock with a little moss on it.my mexican turbo snails ate most of it.the lfs had me buy 40 lbs. of lace rock to mix with the live rock to save a little money.i bought a total of just under 85 lbs lr and 40 lbs. lace.the lace will eventually come alive with all of the lr life.

Hello boba, I really like your layout or shall I say aqua scape! It looks very natural and inviting. It looks like you have a blue background, experiment with the black, it gives the tank depth and a whole different "feel". I tend to bounce back and forth with mine from blue to black. I get a lot of mixed responses from friends and family, you know some love the black and others say the blue is far better. It's fun isn't it?!

I have a black background myself. I don't dislike blue backgrounds...it's just that they make the overflows stand out. The black does a better job at camouflaging until you get some serious coralline going.

Nice tank. Loving the variety of rock. My only concern would be detritus getting stuck behind the rock and the back glass as it looks like the rock is right up against it. Looking forward to seeing more!

hopefully the koralia 850gph power head will keep things circulating.it is aimed at the glass along the back of the tank.there is about a 1 inch gap between the stone and the back of the tank.oh yeah,i flipped my background[under heavy protest from my wife and daughter] to black and it really brings out the pink and purple colors on the lr.the rest of the family agrees and now there is peace in the house once again.

Did you glue down your rocks or are they just sitting there. It looks really easy to topple over if they are not glued, and that would be bad

no,no glue the lfs advised againt it.i have to agree with them.i took my time and put the rock together like puzzle pieces.they are sitting on the tank bottom, not the sand.i cannot tip the rocks by rocking them back and forth,i have to literally pick them straight up to move them.

I didnt glue either but I did the puzzle pieces aswell. I would need a really big fish to knock the stack down, and the tank is looking great. Keep the pictures coming
