| I would take out whaever is left of it though.

| Your crabs and what not should eat them. It wont cause a spike in levels on a 55g tank. I leave the shell so when you have a crab that wants a bigger home he doesnt have to kill someone to move out. |

| I leave snails in. Usually they are devoured by the time that I realize they're dead...and as Tonz said...it gives other snails another option for a home.

| Snails can switch shells? I would leave it in for hermit crabs
