Looks like aiptaisa anemone to me, I would remove it as soon as possible. Do a search on the best removal methods first.

HI, it is an aptasia. They are a nuscence anemone, meaning they can over run your tank. You really should get it out. Since it the only one and on the new piece of rock,(I didn't see a coral on it) I would take the rock out and use a stiff tooth brush to brush it off. Get a container of some fresh water and onlyput that tip where it is in the water and brush it of and scrub that corner good and then run your hot water from your faucet and scold the place where it was.

It looks like an aiptasia alright. Do a google image search to double check.

Peppermint Shrimp are a hit or miss thing. Some have great success with them others say that theirs won't touch the aiptasia in their tank. Also Peppermint Shrimp are often confused with Camel Shrimp. I have seems my LFS mix up the two. Be sure that make sure it isn't a Camel shrimp if you plan to go this route since they are known to nibble on coral. I have heard a lot of people have success with Joe's juice. Inject it right into the mouth of the aiptasia and it should kill it. I haven't tried it but I know some friends of mine have used it with good results.

If you didn't like the first method I suggested then use "joe's juice".
