Default Is this filter good for salt water aquariums

I'm getting ready to buy new filter and saw this in ebay.
Fresh and saltwater Filter PAD 20' great for aquariums - eBay (item 280215540119 end time Apr-12-08 14:33:23 PDT)

Item number: 280215540119

Are they safe for aquariums. One other question, are the filter elments like the one above re-usable?

Thanks

I really think that filter media is meant for ponds only. I might be willing to try on my freshwater tank, but probably not, should stick to ponds only. For sure would never use it on my saltwater though. The only filter media I use in my saltwater is the white sponge type stuff with activated carbon inside of it.

Thanks for the reply. They they sell that in bulk. I have a 50 gal tank. Its just filled with LS, LR and cleaner crew. How often does the filter media usually last? Can they be cleaned out and re-used?

Thanks

I change my filter media every 2-3 weeks when I do my water changes. It's not reusable and I would never try to clean it and reuse it.

I would really be cautioned about using that stuff from ebay...I really think it's more for ponds. If you must though I would certainly not clean and reuse it.
