| Ive got a frogspawn in my tank with pretty much a bunch of the same corals you mentioned. The only advice I can give is to keep the frogspawn and colt on opposite sides of the tank. I am not sure if these are the kind that do the whole chemical warfare, but I would not want to take any chances.

| Be carefull with a green serpent star! They have been known to eat small fishes. so if you clowns are still small, they are a likely candidate. Research them a bit, thier also know as the green star of death, or green death star. |

| Ross +1 on the Green Serpent. Most LPS has sweeper tenticles that sting other corals. Allowing some room taking into account the "sweepers" is a good idea. Dont want to discourage you from the LPS cause there are some cool looking ones out there. |

| I would try to start out with an easy LPS like a forgspawn or hammer, possibly a brain. Keep in in the tank for a few weeks and make sure it is healthy. Then when you know it is thriving start to get a few more and see how it goes! Male sure you take pics of the ones you get!

| Ok, thanks Elliot, that sounds like good advice, it was my first thought to get a few at once! The green star isn't the sea star, I'm referring to the green starburst soft coral, sorry! Should've elaborated more on the name! I'd NEVER get that green death star!

| Well, I know I am not supossed to do this but, I changed my livestock list for corals! Will has offerred to send me frags of his red montipora cap, pink birdsnest and fire and ice zoos... I did do research on those and they should all be good in my tank though. Running out of room, may be all I put in there, still would like a colt coral though! Colts need room to grow tall more than wide though, right? I mean, they still get wide bases, or could you just frag them to keep them the size you want? Can ya tell I'm new at corals?! I did get a frogspawn, it's little with three small heads, and I guess it's doing good so far, been in the tank for about a week. It's starting to either grow or inflate more, or both... Today's my bday party! Going to get a red head fairy wrasse! This will be the second to last fish in my dt! For another year or 2, no more fish until my pod population is good enough to sustain a mandarin goby! Thanks for the advice on the corals!

| first off, Happy birthday! secondly, congrats on the frogspawn. i think it is doing a little bit of inflatino and growth! I also recently got one and it is acting similar to yours. I got mine with 4 heads, now it has 5 in a matter of 2 months. As far as the colt, fragging is a great way to keep it to the size you want, then you can sell/give the frags away. Dont worry, many of us were at the point your at now, tryign corals for the first time. Youll get the hang of it, I can tell you have definately done your research!

| The only other thing I would like to add is for you to remember that the frog cannot move its tentacles on it's own. They only move with the flow\current. Therefore you can place them in a spot that the flow will not drive the tentacles towards other coral and not worry about the stinging anyone else. Also remember that the birdsnest is a high light coral. Depending on what lighting you have will determine the color of the coral and may even determine if it will live or not. |

| Thanks! I actually got plenty of bday money to get my ro/di filter AND a sump outfit! Now it's just a matter of what I can fit thru the opening of my stand... I really wanted a 20 gallon tank but, need to start taking measurements. I may go with a rubbermaid or sterilite instead if that doesn't work. Looking forward to making more room in the dt for corals, since my skimmer will move down to the sump! Also, the pink birdsnest has a perfect spot waiting for it towards the middle-top of my tank; I have a good T5 light set as well so it will be fine in that water column. That's true about the frogspawn, I forgot that as long as the tentacles are being pushed away from other corals it won't sting anything... thanks! I'm also going to get a wave maker for my 2 koralias and I need to figure out if my mj900 in my overflow will work re directing it down to a sump and what kind of return pump to get...
