29gallon BIO cube?......

Hi i have a few freshwater tanks and am about to step it up to a saltwater tank...At my LFS they have a BIO cube on display a 14 gallon. It looks really neat because they loaded the thing with corals. It cost $200 for the 14gallon and $270 for the 29gallon. They lead me in the direction for the 29gallon. I really like the tank and plan to put it in my living room. It also looks like a good deal because its a complete setup and i am just starting in saltwater. Is it?... Could i get something better for $270?... I know thats not very much money to invest but could i get a better deal on a tank thats a complete setup?...I plan to buy live rock, coral, and live sand to put in the tank and make a homemade stand to display it in my living room for years to come. It looks like a good deal to me seeming i will have to buy live rock, sand, and coral too. Anything better?...
thankks help is appreciated,
Dan

I got alot for 340, It was the floor demo model, but perfect.

Got 50lbs of salt, saltwater test kit (for ph nitrates etc..) 200w visatherm heater, 20lbs of calcite substrate, nano protein skimmer, hydrometer,Also came with black stand..

The tank is 29g with the eclipse lid filter 3 system, (bio-wheel)

This was actually a great buy, The store manager ( a friend) called me to tell me it was avail and a steal...

I'm very happy with this tank and the filter system, provides great FLOW..

Filled with a ton of live rock, 3 weeks later some fish..

I have been to alot of fish stores and have yet to find a better buy..

I would advise you to purchase

I agree, purchase it!!! I got a 12 gal knock off nano cube off ebay for $99.00. It sucked, and I had to do some customization to the lighting to get it to work for a reef tank. I've got 2 clowns and a cleaner shrimp in it now that I bought today. I got 15 lbs of live rock, a 3 inch sand bed, 1 zania (spelling sucks), 1 zoo, brain coral, candy cane coral, and another I don't know the exact name I think it's called a ridge coral??? I got like 15 featherdusters that came with the rocks. I love my tank. The flow could be better but it was a knock off brand. I've got about a grand invested into mine so far. Key word "so far."

Word of advice, make sure the tank lights can be set up to different outlets on a timer. Also some cubes have had issues with leaking, make sure you can return it if it leaks and fill up with water as soon as you get it to test it out. A buddy of mine's leaked on the bottom really lightly and warped his stand.

Good luck and enjoy it, they are awesome!!!
