Default repost : Abbreviations?

I may have overlooked it but I think a great tool for new-comers would be an abbreviation index. I know a few of them but some of them I have to look up as I recieve or read information. Any sort of sticky about this or a easy page to keep handy for any newbs would be great. Im sure Im not the only one frustrated having to look for them on the web while we figure out what the heck you vets are talking about haha

Look here, there's a link for abbreviations, it's a sticky thread. It's under 'new to the hobby' forum.

Look here before posting

Its all here. Its in the RB Library, the forums, the stickies, Reef Builders magazine articles, blogs and so on.

Any time you read a thread or post that interests you, scroll to the bottom of the page and see there is always 5 others similar threads listed with more info on the subject you are currently researching. I think if you are a member (maybe you have to support RB) you can also use the search feature for added info. Many times when you start researching you will find the question you have is very common and its been answered more than a few times. The good part is it may have been answered in several ways which means we all benefit.

You can also see a persons tank you like and read all that persons threads from the first time they joined here. Again you will find very similar ???s as most of us go thru the same things. You are really limiting yourself using just the people that are responding to your questions in real time and not going back in time to see what others have said and gone thru before.

I spent a week looking over old threads. A lot of good info going back years. Now, a search function would be nice. Have I miss that?

With as much stuff as I read, it seemed like years. But, you're right, it's only a year an a half.
