| Ok, The plan- 550 Gallon Reef Tank. 36"x36"x96". This is a big build, not just the tank. We are building an additional room on the house to accomodate it. It has been decided that we need another room (by the wife, go figure!). So as part of the deal, I held out until I got my "Dream" tank. Well actually my 4th dream tank, the outher three are about the house... So we are reducing our two car garage to one, and bang- new bedroom. Back to the tank.. 550g reef/ Fish tank, 175 gallon sump. Lighting is 6-250W 20,000k HQI, 12-55w Power compact 50-50's to start, 18 1w led lunar lights. I plan to run a CO2 reactor, UV, and De-nitrifier (i usually over load my tanks...it's an addiction) The stand is being built for free! 5/8" industiral I beams, with built in levelers. Powder coated Black and build into cabinet/wall. The tank is 5/8" glass with star-fire front plate (cause that's all I can afford) That is that for now. We are starting to collect the gear, have 4 hqi uints so far, sump, stand, plumbing (flow design waiting for stand to be compleated). That's where we sit. Pics will come as the time comes... I warn you, It is not going to be a fast build! Stay tuned.

| Quick update on the stand... A slight oversight on the stand. The steel is cut and in the process of getting welded. However, there is a weight issue. It will on the order of 1800 lbs, LOL! I have now arranged a crane truck to deliver it to the powdercoaters and my house. Then an army of peeps to carry it into the house. Pics will follow.

| We also have a Blue Face, Emperor, French, and Koran. Lost my regal angel. Very odd. Eating and every thing good color no fin damage no hemoraging nothing. Just dead. That's life with the regals though. I plan on getting another once the big tank is done. Waiting on a Grey Angel as my last one other then the Regal. should not be tooooo long now...

| So, I've been researching tanks for 4 years now. Finally, we have the funds to start one. Everyone says go 55 gals or bigger. I do the math, and a 75 gallon tank drops in my lap. All the stuff you have to buy is the same as a 55 gallon tank, so, let's do this (initially, $60 more for the tank and stand). I get my tank, buy the rocks (That's the biggest expense), get the sand (second biggest expense, but, you aren't told this at the time), and then everyone tells me I need this and that. (Refugium, sump, fish room, build a house to fit your tank), I'm happy with the ten crabs I just bought, and I'll be happy with the chromis and stuff I add this week. It's a process, a journey, it's not buying everything, have it perfect and saying hey, look at my tank. But I do want a fish room.......
