i am fairly new to reefing. i have a 29g tank. all i have for filtration is 30lbs ls, 30+lbs lr and cpr bakpak ps. i want to add a refugium. all i can fit under the tank is a 10g. would that be enough for a fuge set up? what do i put in the fuge? and should i run a uv sterilizer in the return?

A 10 gal fuge is plenty for a 29 dt.
You can do a deep sand bed (atleast 4") and keep some really cool macro algae (most folks use chaetimorpha). You can go to the glass shop and have them cut you some baffles (have them polish the edges so you don't cut yourself !) to separate your return section and fuge. Buy a tube of aquarium silacone and let cure for 24 hours after applying.

I agree with Jim about the 'fuge.I say nay on the UV sterilizer.They destroy the beneficial bacteria as well as the bad.

I would run a uv sterilizer on a qt tank (I hope you have one).

10G fuge should be plenty. UV sterilizers aren't needed as much as a protein skimmer. Just make sure your fuge doesn't overflow incase of a power outage.
