Icon7 Upgrading from 75 Gallon to 90 Gallon

OK, so I'm finally upgrading from a 75 gallon uniquarium to a 90 gallon tank with a refugium and the whole works. I will be ordering all of my new equipment tomorrow and will post updates accordingly.

If you have any suggestions on fish and corals, that would be great. I want to have a mixed reef tank.

Right now I'm going to keep all of the same corals in my tank, but will be getting all new fish.

Hard to give suggestions for you not knowing what you are buying for lights, flow, filtering and experience level. All those things have a bearing on what will be good in your tank.

Any reason not to go up to a 120 instead of a 90? 90 just seems to be a small increase from where you are, and a 120 would add a lot of space without adding length.

I want to be able to keep the same base. I currently have a uniquarium and going to a 90 gallon, I can keep the base and just have a slightly higher tank.

OK, so this is what was ordered. We're picking it up on Saturday and beginning the process. Any suggestions on what to do when you're swapping out tanks would be greatly appreciated.

- 90 aquarium 48x18x24 black back w/overflow
- 30" Berlin sump
- 6-2 skimmer
- Rio HF 26
- MH Lighting
- 1/10 Chiller

Would any of you out there recommend a calcium reactor for this tank? I was thinking that I would just use B-Ionic Calcium Buffer System daily instead.

Also, we have two MH bulbs that will light the tank. Should one be white?

OK, so we finally did it! We upgraded from our uniquarium to a 90 gallon tank. What a HUGE difference. I picked up space in the rear of the tank (no more uniquarium) and I picked up four inches in height.

- 90 aquarium 48x18x24 black back w/overflow
- 30" Berlin sump
- 6-2 skimmer
- Rio HF 26
- MH Lighting
- 1/10 Chiller

We took out the Klien's Butterfly (because of the advice from all of you regardng the corals that it nips at) and all of the rest of the fish. We only kept out Valentini Puffer, Diamond Goby and Pinktail Trigger.

We bought all new fish (little ones at that, so we could watch them grow). Fish included yellow tang, ocellaris clown, blue tang, sailfin tang, tomini tang, chocolate tang, naso tang, and a powder brown tang. We put them all in the tank and there were no confrontations! Everyone got along.

Now we have so much more room for corals and we're really excited. I have a couple of questions.

1. What corals would you suggest that we add to the tank if we can get our hands on them? We currently have the following corals : Finger Leather . Orange Ricordea . Green Ricordea . Frogspawn . Pulsing Xenia . Green Mushrooms . Green Tip Torch . Pink Tip Torch . White Tip Torch . Banching Flower Pot . Green Hairy Mushroom . Toadstool Mushroom . Hammer . Colt . Cabbage Leather . Pagoda Cup . Green Button Polyp . Purple Brush Gorgonian . Coco Worm.

2. Will any of our fish nip at clams? I would really like to get some clams.

3. Do you think we will need a calcium reactor or will adding supplements (B-Ionic Calcium Buffer System) everyday suffice?

4. We add trace every day, but that's it. Should we be adding any more supplements?

All of our water parameters are normal. Thanks in advance for all of your advice. I'll post pictures if anyone wants them.
