 sump desing and quick questions what do you guys think of this sump desing i am plainng to use it on my 65 gallon the sump is gonna be a 30 gallon and the type of skimmer i am gonna use is a reef octpus 150 recirculating skimmer needle wheel skimmer the only think i don get is the ball walve what is it for and why do i need it and what is the diff between the recerculating skimmer with a needle wheel and a regualer skimmer Geckofrog.net Shared web hosting, dedicated web servers. bitz. net/~latazyo/Pics/Aqua/37RR/sump. jpg  |

| Re: sump desing and quick questions Looks like the ball valve in that design is to regulate the volume of water entering the skimmer & returning to the sump. In other words, so your skimmer isen't getting so much water that it overflows into the collection cup. |
