| There is some builds for you to look at right here in this forum you just have to do a little searching. Might wanna check out the large tank forum also. Heres a good inwall build to at least point you in a good direction! http://www.reefbuilders.com/forums/r...ld-thread.html |

| I built my 220 into a wall and have a fish room behind it (which is the link that Jim posted). There a ton of things that need to be thought about when having a tank enclosed in the wall and a fish room behind it (access, humidify, temp, electricity, makeup water access, floor drain, etc...). Please provide me with a detailed plan before you start building and I'll give you some suggestions for improvements.

| On the fourth page of my thread, I posted a tank shot with the front access panel installed. One recommendation is to make sure that you do something so that you have access to the front side of the tank. It is much easier having access from the front than having to do everything from the back. The door that you see over my tank has a piano (?) hinge the fill length of the door and I can prop it open using a couple wood dowels. If I get a chance, I'll try to take and post some additional pics for you.

| More pics would be great your tank is is close to what I'm looking for. As for my plans for the build I was going too build my stand 6'x 2' with 4 x 4's for the legs and 2 x 6's for the supports and 3/4 sheet of plywood on top. The stand will sit so I can dry wall the front so it will blend into the wall. I think the stand will look like the one on melevsreef.com. I plan to have dedicated breakers for my electrical, and a water source is close by. My sump is a 75 gal. tank , bio balls?? I have read good and bad things on them but my lfs say to use them and there tanks look good. the skimmer I have is a berlin turbo rated for up to 250 gal. Refugium 55 gal. not sure what to put in it yet? and if it would be best to let it drain into main tank or sump. Lights are pfo 250 watt mh and a 95 watt.50/50 pc for the center of the tank then a 65 watt day and 65 watt acentic for both sides but plan to upgrade as need to more mh. Thats what I have so far, whata think good start any advice will be gladly excepted!! ![]() |

| sounds good to me im also building the same thing just with a 180 gallon custom tank i had made with euro bracing on the topp for easy acces and starphire glass on the front to really bring out the corals colors, i have a thread in the build section its the only 180 build on there so feel free to check it out as i progress. Maybe you can get some ideas.

| personally i think you should just use your 75 as a sump/refugium and i would save that 50 for fragging or something else. The guys i deal with at big al's have a 265 gallon reef running on a 70 gallon sump/refugium so i dunno what your plans are but you could definitly get away with just the 75 gallon tank. im only using a 65 gallon tank for my sump/refugium.

| well due to money being tight now I used the 75 to upgrade my 29 because my fish were to big and I'm thinking of useing the 125 for a fish only, my dream tank is 72x48x36 so I may hold out for that |

| lol you would have to have that custom made and it would be very hard to get in and out of a 36'' tall tank thats for sure, my 110 is 30" and its a pain in the butt. So ar eyou going to use the 50 for sump/refugium?
