| 4-500 for lights is very doable. If you want a Salt set up with an anemone for that tank you would be hard pressed to do it for under 1k cutting every corner in the book including everything used. Most people figure $30 a gallon for a reef set up and thats for a start. Costs will eventually go beyond that depending what your involvement with the hobby is. It can be done cheaper but thats the ballpark you are in. Saltwater is a very expensive hobby. Its a great hobby and a free tank and stand is a great way to start! Is that tank "reef ready?" Does it have internal overflows built into it? |

| Hey I just switched a few weeks ago from a 75 to a 125 long. I got my Aqua Medic light (4 T5's and 3 250 halides) from my LFS for $700. It was one my LFS used but they weren't using anymore. I keep all corals and anemones too, I don't know how much cheaper you will find than $700.

| Some people love aquatraders and some people hate them. Cheaper end fixtures no doubt. I have bought 3 T5 fixtures from them and have been completely satisfied. I have seen others post they didnt like the fixtures and had a few probs with them. Just throwing it out there for ya. Home page |
