A ATB 10.5? Wow Brian. Talk about overkill. I'm totally jealous!
You do know that you'll have to do a write up about it, correct?

When is it expected to be shipped to you?

I've done a ton of research between the ATB and Vertex cone skimmers and the ATB ones seem to be a little better with matching their pumps to the skimmer body and are more consistent. As for going with the Deluxe 10.5 instead of the 1050 w/ AirStar pump, I'm hoping I made the right choice for the extra cost for the upgrade. I ended up deciding that with all the money I have spent purchasing skimmers in the past (some of which were good and others were junk), I'd jump up to a top of the line skimmer to see how it compares and actually stick with the skimmer for a longer period of time. Besides, a little over 10 years ago I purchased a computer for $3,000. This was only 1/2 of that cost.

I'll do a writeup on it when I get it in, which hopefully won't be too long. I just talked to the place I'm buying it from and they need to get it ordered and shipped to them since they don't have any in stock.

yeah its always a good idea not to cheap out on a good skimmer cause as your fish grow your bioload increases, currently im running a Reeflo 250 skimmer and it has done a great job thus far but skimmer and oxygenating my tank which is very inportant
