Default Starting setup of 12 Ga. Nano 5/27 am

recieved my 12Dx jbj nano 5/26. I am mixing saltwater today using kent sea salt and RO/IO water. Going to use Tonga Kaelini Rock and Carib Sea Agra Alive sand. Removed all Filtration except Sponge in 1st chamber.


12 Ga. Nano
2 50/50 side by side lamps
10K white
7.1K blue
Nite-Vu LED Nite lite
2 cooling fans
Built in Sump 3 Chambers
166 GPH pump w/Directional Output

Thanks, that was my plan if there is any. Hav'nt rec my rock yet. It came with carbon,bioballs and ceramic rings.

well the bio balls with rubble is a better idea because they get coarse and fine parrticles out of ur tank

Don't use the bioballs. They tend to get dirty & become nitrate generators. Use just the rock rubble.

im having trouble getting into that forum "ultimatereef" not sure what the prob is.

actully u are wrong if u put in 1 or 2 bioballs and clean them every month they do just as good as live rock and it is always good to have a mixture of things

What glampka said is correct, most people don't clean them out all the time like they are supposed to and in time they become a pain.

It's best just to remove them all together
