Default My tank before and after

When I started my 50 gallon saltwater tank I tried to save as much money as possible and take as many shortcuts as I could (obviously I was quite a saltwater noob). I live close to the ocean so I pulled most of my stuff out of it including LR and a couple fish. Here is a picture of what my tank used to look like:

I eventually came to see the light and realized that in this hobby you gotta spend the money and do the time it takes to take good care of this tank. I virtually started from scratch and got all new LR, took out some of the fish and various crabs, and sent them back to there home in the Gulf. I was runnig the stock lighting, but threw that junk away and set up a 175w MH with 20k bulb and a 96w Coralife fixture with 50/50 bulb. I am very happy with what the tank looks like now it was money very well spent here are the pictures:

the rock is up against the back wall of the tank. I used super glue to make sure that it wont come tumbling down, plus the way i put each peice the super glue is jsut precaution they were so tightly fit they wouldnt have come down... but i dont know what you mean with the sand....its just a deep sand bed
