| Here are my latest pics, I'm very interested to hear what you think of the live rock placement.... Thanks! Dana The first pic has my blenny peeking from the middle-lower rocks! http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/c...2/PB148899.jpg http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/c...2/PB148895.jpg |

| Rock placement looks Good, But the bad news is you have Cyano! You need at least two powerheasds in there to get some flow in the dead spots where I see growth. What are your water Parameters? When was last water change? Remove the red slime (Cyano) with a turkey baster and increase the flow in this area. There are no corals so leave lighting off for a few days and do a water change with RO Water no Tap Water! I didn't see any powerheads do you have any? I do not recommend any red slime remover products. Please read this: Tropical Fish Forums > Cyanobacteria, Red Slime Algae

| Lol, ya the game was pretty good, for us anyways! The Eagles won their last game though, right? Ya, I've been trying to reduce my nitrates, they've been at 20ppm and I believe it MIGHT have to do with the fact that a. I just added 50lbs lr (that I cured before placing it in dt, but maybe there were things I missed) b. I have not been syphoning some water from my overflow during water changes where I also added some new rubble for a refugium of sorts and last, I didn't have anything digging in the sand and/or eating detrius. So, today, I syphoned about 1 liter directly from the o verflow, not feeding anything for the time being but I will syphon the red slime as well. And yes, there are two 1200mj powerheads plus the 900 in the overflow! I am so pleased you didn't see them! I am very confident in the waterflow being good, no dead spots and everything moves good, I believe it's all due to the high nitrates but I'll also leave the lights off today and see how it does as well. Thanks! Dana |
