RB Members, Please has anyone used these? Is this a aquatraders system? I have been looking for the aquatraders system just to compare. There was a thread about those lights. That the materials were getting better.

Here is the E bay link:

eBay: VHO 72" 1134W Metal Halide Reef light Aquarium Lighting (item 120134076793 end time Jun-26-07 11:05:47 PDT)

Should we test this lighting system for report in the forum, and if so we will accept donations!

Just kidding Not

My understanding of this system is that the antinics and the metal halides are on one power cord and timing can not be individual timed. Is this the case with your light? Thanks for your response.

No the metal halides have there own cord and the blue antinics have a cord then the blue moon lights have a cord so I run the halide for 6 hrs the antinics for 10 hrs and the moon lights for 14 hrs all have there own indvidual cords

How did you mount your system I have heard stories of weak legs that mount to the tank, is this an issue? How sturdy do you think the legs are? I would hate to see fish fry. Are you using glass caps or is tank open. I am just curious. Also the price on E bay is $499.99 Maybe Gotcha on the shipping?

My legs are fine very sturdy I use it with open top so there isn't a heat issue. Like I said great light no problems here you maybe misinformed. Oh also on e-bay your paying 499.99 + 99.99 shipping =599.98 buy direct from aquatraders= 589.00 The e-bay seller is just going to ship it to who ever buys it directly from aquatraders so if you want too give him 12 bucks thats your business I'm just trying too save you money. Your welcome.

Sanjay,

You are going to spend a good amount of money on your tank. The lighting is of prime importance. I have never used aquatraders. However, do a google search on them as well as the name he now goes by on ebay "hommby.com". You will read about plenty of horor stories.

Here is a site I trust and have had excellent service from. They have the cheapest pricest for Metal halide lighting on the internet and it is all name brand.
