 old rock new tank could i take the rock in my tank that has been running for about 6 months and place it in my new tank to help it cycle? also when you cycle you not supposed to have the sand in right? Should the refugium also be up and running with sand and plants and rock? Help i want to do this right  |

| Re: old rock new tank You can use the rock from the other tank. You want the sand in there right from the beginning. Also you want the refugium going with sand & rock. Plants can go in later when the nitrates build.
