I am not sure I understand the question.

If you are refering to the Live Rock that I made my caves and canels out of this is simply stacked Live Rock that I purchased from Live Aquira (3 types).

The manifold system that I made is simply 3/4" PVC with 3/4" to 1/2" tees.
Then I added LocLine to those for making direction flow.
The LocLine I got here. (this is all reef safe as long as you use the right glue and give it a day or two to set up well).

Then attached 3 RIO pumps to the PVC and there you have it a kickin flow manifold.

GREAT LOOKING TANK!!!!!! I like how you did your live rock. Do you glue your corals to the larger rocks they set on? (I ask because i could never get my corals to set on flat surfaces in the tank with out being knocked off), and how long did it take you to get all the power heads aimed in the perfect direction??

Just got the new light and didn't want to glue them down until I had my light needs established. Now that I do I will start glueing things down after a week or so as long as everyone remains happy where they are under the new lighting. But, you are correct, I usually spend 1/2 hour picking things up off the bottom of the tank every night when I get home.

As for aiming the power heads to the perfect direction and establishing perfect flow I will let you know when it happens. I think I am at 4 months now. The thing is I find that everytime I move stuff arround the heads have to be repositioned as well, which I guess is to be someone expected.

its pvc pipe. i know exactly what you are talking about. yeah, it is reef safe, and not tooo expensive either. just make sure you get pvc pipe that is a big enough diameter, and make sure you ger some 90 degree bends too. i am guessing you want to burry it in the sand, and have the openings just above the sand?

yeah i got the idea from a tank i saw with them. i did what to have them under the sand.

Currently a Nikon D70. Shot those with a Micro-Nikkor 105mm VR lense with a 1:1.5 teleconverter attached.

OK...I know this is somewhat off topic but I have a question about the macro feature on cameras. Currently I have a Samsung Digimax s800 and it has a Macro feature..no surprise...however I am at a loss as to how to use the darn thing..the pdf instructions were awful and just say where it's located but give no real information on how to use it. Whenever I zoom in on something and turn it on the picture seems to get blurry....which I thought it was supposed to do the opposite. It's just a PAS so I know it's not as good as say a DSLR but still I have the feature and when I get my tank I'd like to use it. Thanks for any help anyone.

The best way to do it would be to drill the back wall of the tank and use fittings this would reduce the had pressure required to plum up over the top of the tank and down in this would also get rid of the unsightly PVC coming out of the tank.

The other thing that could be done is to use the return pipe (assuming tank plumbed for overflows). Then break that out just about the bottom the tank and distrubute with piping to where you want it to go. The only problem with this is you flow is reduce to the capacity of the overflow drain.

Thanks Jeremy for the reply. I was concerned about the heat and the servicing issue of the three submersible pumps.
I definitely abhor the idea of all kinds of visible PVC and/or mechanical "stuff "(ugly power-heads) in the tank.
