So I know the tank looks empty but Im a big fan of Buying small and letting things grow into the tank. Im a fan because I have spent maybe 100 bucks in frags. Give it some time and things will fill in. You can already see the frogspawn growing...O well this is it for now.

Yep Sea life Inc. I lost them for about a month. They fell in that whole they are now in. They just showed up about a month ago. In terms of fish I am planning on 1 diamond goby and 1 mandarin goby. Maybe a Flame Angel we will see.

looking good. I almost bought that exact tank but was trying to figure out how I was going to fit the lights on top and a sump under.it was going to be tough so I went with the next size up. I like to see the full pic like 1 step back. and whats under the hood sorta speak.. also how much rock is that I'm trying to get an idea as to how much I'm going to need. thanks .

This 54g build has been a nightmare. Space underneath has been so limited. The lights dont fit precisely but you could never tell. Its a zoo. Ill get some pictures up after I get back from Hawaii. Im going to do some traveling. Be looking for some vacation pics in the Lobby. All these pictures were taking with the new Nikon D80 so the pics in Hawaii should be sweet...

Hey Greg great looking tank...I'm probally going to go the same route as you and just let things G-R-O-W in my tank. Is that the rock by MrMarine...tell me how many pounds of base rock vs show rock did you get. I know I need about 50 lbs for a 34 but I'm not sure what ratio I should get. Also how much water initially did you put in your tank...everything I've read says about 3/4 full and then add rock and sand but I'm wondering if that's going to be enough. Thanks man appreciate it and have a blast...Aloha.

Yes this is the rock from Mrmarine. Your looking at about 90 lbs the rest is in my sump. It is all LR. I wouldn't pay attention to the different titles of show, or premium. As long as its LR your good. The difference in the titles are the sizes that they come in. If you buy 50 lbs from Mrmarine you will get what I got and you will be good to go. 100 percent LR. I could guess that you will need about 20g of water after you get 50 lbs of LR and 40 lbs of LS. Remember to do the rock then the sand then the water...

I paid 10 bucks a frag from a guy from ebay. I would be more then happy to give you his name. It you see the growth that I have gotten from a month and a half im sure you would be just as pleased as I am. If your looking a online store I go to Sea Life Inc.. That blue zoo came to me as a single polyp amount 3 months ago. The guys at sea life are great.

Im now in Arizona. I leave for my final destination in 3 hours. I think he wanted frags. Like I did. Not full grown pieces. Those are great sites but they all cost like 30 bucks a piece. I paid no more then 10 bucks for anything in my tank in terms of corals.

They are free standing. I put the rocks in first then Bary them in sand. Under the tank I have a 75g pro clear wet dry that has the balls removed and rubble instead. I have my skimmer down there as well. I have a AquaC skimmer. Ill take a picture one of these days. Corner tanks are a challenge because there is zero space.
