After a little more research I decided to go ahead and get the ozonizer, I ordered a redsea 200 deluxe.

Picked up a 150 lbs LR from a feelow reefer breaking down his tank. Then added the 100 lbs I had in my 65, plus all new sand. Then transfered the fish and corals. The rock I picked up was loaded with shrooms and zoos and kenya trees.

A couple new additions that were in QT during the build made it to the display tank.

Are you running a Spray Bar or are the 4 powerhead thingeys on top all your water movement. It looks like it would be great movement even without a spray bar but i was just curious. Awesome Tank so far, post more pics please!

2 koralia 3's and 2 4's a mag 9.5 return is about 6000 gph. I didn't do a spray bar but I left enough room behind the rocks to do one later. Not sure I need it though.

Lovin them. Almost silent fans, no heat, infinite adjustments. Pure white and blue lights, no yellow tint at all. Actually had to turn down the blues, it was just too blue. Softies and lps seem to be doing well, no bleaching. I have not added any sps yet. Anemones and clam also doing well.

Awesome!! I have mostly softies and a few lps so i think it would do fine. How long have you been running these lights and do you think there worth the extra money? Where did you buy them? Do you have any recent pics of the tank? Thanks!!

well, they've only been running for 3 weeks. My outer orbit sounded like jet compared to this thing. The noise and bulb replacement made the solaris worth it for me. I was lucky enough to get one from emeralcoastcorals.com before they ran out of the G series. I don't know if I would go for the I series at 3700 though. I got these for 2500 shipped. The last pic in this thread is only 4 days old, but it is with a flash, I'll try to take one without the flash so you can see the real color.

Please do! I want to find out as much info in these lights as i can before i buy. There so new to the market that there isn't a lot of personal experience info out there yet and I am glad to have your opinion about them!!

Sorry it took so long. No flash on this pic, just to get a sense of the color and intensity.

yea, I keep reading posts about people wanting a good cheap skimmer, lights, live rock, etc. I understand wanting to save wherever you can but, that doesn't really work in this hobby.

I sold the Solaris. I have a few sps corals that I inherited with my lr and they loved the lights. My lps and bta's didn't care for them too much. LPS bleached and bta's went into hiding . I tried turning the lights down but then I didn't like the look of the tank, too dim. I ordered a new outer orbit 3x150 mh and 8x39 T5. It is coming today and I'll be putting it on the tank tonight. That is the same fixture I had on my 65 and had much better results.

thanks steve i was really looking to buy the solaris but your not the only one who has given mixed thoughts about them and for the price i need to be 120% sure the lights are as good as solaris says it is.
